An established industry player is seeking a Community Liaison Officer to support the East Anglia TWO Windfarm project. This contract role focuses on community engagement during the construction phase. The successful candidate will implement the community engagement strategy, maintain communication with community members, and manage public information events. Our client, Scottish Power Renewables, is currently recruiting for a Community Liaison Officer to join the team on a contract basis based in Lowestoft.
This is a contract role initially until the end of the year but may be extended for the long term.
Scope of the role
To support the East Anglia TWO Windfarm project with community engagement during the construction of the onshore works. The core aspects of this role will be:
Communication tools will be made available to the Community Engagement Officer. These will include:
• The SPR East Anglia project website
• The SPR East Anglia Offshore Wind Community Newsletter
• Tractivity database of website registered stakeholders and identified local community stakeholders
• Landowner contact database as provided by SPR Land Agents.
The CLO will also be expected to familiarise him or herself with:
• The Development Consent Order and Environmental Statement for East Anglia TWO
• The Code of Construction Practice (CoCP)
• The Required Discharge Documents (RDDs)
Minimum Criteria
• A humanities degree in English, History, Psychology, Marketing, or Media
• Excellent communication and presentational skills across a variety of media and the ability to meet deadlines, with relevant communications experience
• Proven track record of event management
• The ability to work as part of a team and to organise other teams to assist with community liaison.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Excellent IT and social marketing skills
• Local to East Anglia
• Full UK driving licence
