Job summary

Our Hinterlands is seeking an experienced Programme Director to lead a bold CPP project, putting rural communities at the centre of decision‑making in the former Selby District. You will guide the programme from planning to delivery, ensuring collaboration, inclusion and transformational arts activity, with a consortium including Up For Yorkshire, Tadcaster & Rural CIC, North Yorkshire Council and ARCADE.

  • Experience leading arts or community development projects.
  • Ability to translate stakeholder ambitions into a programme plan.
  • Strong governance, budgeting and reporting to funders.
  • Commitment to co-creation, inclusion and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the programme from planning to delivery with collaborative, inclusive approach.
  • Grow partnerships with funders, artists, residents and networks.
  • Manage staff, freelancers and volunteers and provide day-to-day oversight.
  • Oversee budgets, resource allocation and risk management.
  • Develop an income strategy to ensure resilience beyond 2029.
  • Represent Our Hinterlands to Arts Council England and partners.
