Job summary

East Riding of Yorkshire Council seeks an enthusiastic Arts in Libraries Officer to coordinate and deliver a vibrant programme of arts across our libraries on a fixed two-year contract, with potential extension subject to funding. You will work with artists, staff and partners to programme residencies, workshops and performances while managing logistics and budgets.

• Support major programmes including Festival of Words, Children's Festival of Words, Live'n'Loud and other library festivals.
• Manage project logistics, schedules, contracts and venue arrangements.
• Build and maintain relationships with artists, libraries, community groups and cultural partners.
• Monitor project budgets and contribute to funding reports.
• Co-ordinate evaluation and data collection.
• Develop marketing materials and work with communications colleagues to promote events.
• Support reporting to Arts Council England and the NPO Advisory Board.

East Riding of Yorkshire Council is seeking an enthusiastic and organised Arts in Libraries Officer to help deliver an ambitious programme of arts and cultural activity across our libraries. Initially a two-year contract, we hope to be successful in applying for another round of funding which would extend the role for a further five years.

About the Role

Working with the Creative Programmes Manager, library staff, artists and partners, you will coordinate and deliver a varied programme of cultural activities across East Riding libraries. This will be pre-identified projects and programmes alongside scope to develop new initiatives.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of creative producing, project management, community and event delivery, partnership working and administration in a fast-paced environment.

Funded through Arts Council England's National Portfolio Organisation (NPO) programme, this role will support the delivery of creative projects, performances, festivals, artist residencies and community activities that inspire participation, improve wellbeing and bring people together.
