Job summary

Inizio Engage is seeking a Community IV Nurse to deliver high-quality care in patients’ homes across the South West region, including Cornwall, Plymouth, Exeter and Devon. The role involves regular driving and a 40-hour week, with valuable clinical development in Parenteral Nutrition and IV therapy.

You will work with NHS teams and clinicians to support hospital-to-home transitions, educate patients and carers, and maintain clinical governance and records in a community setting.

Qualifications

• Current NMC Registration in the UK.
• Degree-level nursing qualification.
• Minimum one year post-registration nursing experience.
• Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD).
• Valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, patient-centred care in patients’ homes and community settings.
• Administer prescribed Parenteral Nutrition (PN) and IV therapies per SOPs.
• Assess patients, identify changes in condition and elevate clinical concerns.
• Support treatment initiation, ongoing care and transitions from hospital to home.
• Train, educate and empower patients, families and carers to safely manage treatment.
• Provide clinical advice and support while coordinating with NHS colleagues.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and adhere to governance and policies.

WORKING HOURS

Monday to Sunday, 40 hours per week.

Our Clinical Homecare Nursing Team is dedicated to delivering exceptional care to patients in the place they feel most comfortable - their own home.

Working in partnership with NHS teams and healthcare professionals, we provide specialist Parenteral Nutrition and IV therapy services, helping patients receive safe, effective treatment while maintaining their independence.

If you're an enthusiastic and patient-focused Registered Nurse looking to develop your clinical skills in a rewarding community role, we'd love to hear from you.

This is a community-based role, and regular travel is required. Visit locations and routes will vary depending on patient needs and service demand. Travel between patient visits is included within your working hours, so you'll need to be comfortable driving.

The Role

• Deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centred care in patients’ homes and community settings.
• Administer prescribed Parenteral Nutrition (PN), IV therapies and clinical interventions in line with SOPs and professional standards.
• Assess patients, identify changes in condition and elevate clinical concerns appropriately.
• Support treatment initiation, ongoing care and transitions from hospital to home.
• Train, educate and empower patients, families and carers to safely manage treatment and build independence.
• Provide clinical advice and support while building strong relationships with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Work collaboratively with NHS colleagues, Senior Homecare Nurses, Clinical Nurse Managers and wider teams to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and work in line with Clinical Governance, NMC standards and Inizio policies.
• Support patient safety, quality improvement, service development and achievement of programme KPIs.
• Maintain clinical competence through training, CPD, reflective practice and evidence-based care.

Qualifications

Essential

• Current NMC Registration.
• Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience.
• Minimum one year post-registration nursing experience.
• Evidence of continuing professional development.
• Current valid UK driving licence.

Desirable

• Experience in CVAD and/or Parenteral Nutrition services.
• Pharmaceutical or healthcare industry experience.
• Experience delivering patient education and support programmes.
• Experience working within community, homecare, acute or NHS healthcare settings.
