The Vacancy

Full Time, Fixed Term Contract - 12 months

We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Community Housing Assistant to join us on a 12-month FTC to support the Commercial and Lettings team in providing a friendly and efficient allocations service.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing administrative and other support to the team
  • Being the first point of contact for customer enquiries
  • Supporting the wider directorate when required

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Experience in a similar environment or a basic understanding of housing
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Experience of working in difficult situations with multiple competing priorities
  • A good basic education including English and Maths qualifications and the ability to communicate potentially difficult decisions with confidence
  • Experience in using Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams
