Job summary

urbanbubble is seeking a Community Host Manager to lead a team at Blackhorse Mills in London. You will act as the face of the development, deliver high-standard resident experiences, and manage day-to-day activities with a focus on engagement and service excellence.

The role involves coordinating a team, onboarding staff, training, and maintaining robust reporting and access to resident services. A strong culture of customer care is essential.

Qualifications

  • Experience in an operation site-based role, preferably in residential property management.
  • Experience leading a team and delivering excellent customer service.
  • Good understanding of UK lettings regulations and building health & safety requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the face of the building and motivate the Community Hosts to deliver high-standard resident experiences.
  • Lead day-to-day activities, schedule rotas, onboard new starters, and provide ongoing coaching.

Key responsibilities
  • Acting as the face of the buildingalongside theCommunity Hosts, displayingprofessionalism and genuine care for theproperty.
  • Leadday-to-day activities toahigh standardto ensurea fantastic resident experience.
  • Motivate and engage staff tocreatea high-performing team.
  • SupporttheAssistant General Manager and GeneralManagerto instil trust and confidence withour client.
  • Be self-motivated to learn and improve performance, ready to becomean Assistant General Managerwhen the opportunity presents
  • Act as a role model for the values and key behaviors outlined.
  • Effectively line manage the Community Hosts by providing all the new starter onboarding, training and support needed for success, providing regular positive and constructive feedback by conducting monthly 121s acting as a coach and mentor
  • Ensure all policies and procedures are followed, paying close attention to detail, and providing both positive and constructive feedback.
  • Promote effective two-way communication and true engagement.
  • Co-produce the rota to ensure adequate resource isplanned in advance.

Client Relations
  • Support with deliveringaccurateand high-quality reporting by deadlines.
  • Ensure Property Management Agreement KPIs are achieved.
  • Provide sound operational recommendationsin a timely manner.
Leasing and Marketing
  • Managetheproperty portal listings,create social mediacontentand scheduling,supportwithmarketingsuggestions andcampaigns.
  • Conduct viewings and manage anywalk inviewings or enquires.
  • Submit applicationsto the central leasing team with the correct paperwork.
  • Maintain100%fileauditcompliancee.g. inspections and resident accounts.
  • Ensurethe Community Hostsare trained toconductleasingactivities.
  • Keep our void days and occupancy levels in line with our KPI targets.
  • Oversee the move in and move out process, ensuring(Standard Operating Procedures)SOPs are followedwhile providing a great
  • Ensure post move in/move out admin isrecordedcorrectly andin a timely manner.
  • Oversee and complete apartment inventories, utility meter reads, 3rdparty billing accounts management if applicable and depositarereturnedwithinSLA.
Resident Services and Engagement
  • Lead by exampleanddeliver great customer service.Ensureeach team member meets the required customer service standardsand motivate staff to go above and beyond.
  • Managethepropertyinbox andPMSby delegating and completingtasksina timelymanner.
  • Supportthe Community Hostswith general enquiries and complaintsas perourpolicies.
  • Oversee resident services such as parcel management, key security, amenity bookings, car parkmanagementandhousekeeping cleans.
  • Ensure all building administration is completed such as council tax and utility information.
  • Ensure the daily checklist is completed by theCommunity Hostsand that a detailed handover is provided at the end of each shift.
  • Assistwith the organisation and planning of Resident events.Promote interaction of residents through socials, activities and encourage residents to utilise the communal spaces.
  • Continuously improve service delivery by monitoringand responding tofeedback,surveysand online portalsreviews. Meet resident review KPItargets forHomeviews and Google.
  • Manage debt and arrears working closely with the finance support teams.
  • To ensure that the buildings are properly resourced andserviced at all times, with any absences catered for and you will cover the reception desk whenrequired.
Building Services
  • Work with the team to ensure maintenance requests arelogged andactioned promptlywithing SLAtargets, thatthe building meets high cleanliness and appearance standards.
  • Manage aspects of health and safety of the building to ensure 100%PPM’scompliance.
  • Supportand completerisk assessment remedial actions,ensure ESG utility data is logged.
  • Laise with contractors whenrequired, completesite inductions,managethequality of work and makesure we aregettingpreferablerates reducingoperationalcosts in budgets.
  • Deliver and manageour financialbudgets,ensure efficiencies are in place to drive further savingsand improve our NOI.
Who you are (key skills & experience)
  • You’ll have experience within an operation site-based role, preferably in residential property management.
  • Experience managing and leading a team.
  • Significant experience of delivering excellent customer service.
  • You’ll have a good understanding of UK Lettings regulations and building health and safety requirements.
  • You’ll have excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
  • Customer service, including negotiation skills, dealing withdifficult situationsand conflict management, resolution skills.
  • You’ll be a true team player.People management skills and the ability to achievegreat resultsthrough people,coachingand
  • Proficient in the use ofITMicrosoft office packagesand databasesystems.
  • Organisation skills and time management, with a close attention to detail.
  • ARLA qualified Level 3 (Association of Residential Lettings Agents) or BTR TPI Level 2 (desirable)
  • First Aid, Health and Safety, Lifting and Manual Handling qualifications (desirable)
  • Exhibits behaviours that support the core values of the business.
