Job summary

Devon County Council's Public Health Nursing team in Crediton is seeking a Community Health Worker to support families with children aged 0-8 in community and home settings. You will be involved in development reviews and work alongside Health Visitors to promote child health and development.

The role requires QCF/NVQ3 or equivalent, safeguarding knowledge, and a passion for improving outcomes for children; driving license preferred for travel across Devon.

Qualifications

• QCF or NVQ3 Foundation degree (Childcare related) or equivalent.
• Understanding of safeguarding children and child health promotion.
• Experience or interest in community/health visiting contexts.

Responsibilities

• Support families with children aged 0-8 in home and community settings.
• Contribute to development reviews and child health promotion activities.
• Collaborate with Health Visitors, School Nurses and Staff Nurses on family assessments.
• Assist with flexible service delivery and targeted episodes of care as directed.
