Job summary

Places Leisure is seeking a qualified instructor to deliver community-based health sessions outside our leisure centres. You will set up and manage Healthy Communities projects across Northumberland and deliver initiatives such as Exercise Referral and falls prevention, working with line managers to meet project aims.

The role requires planning, delivering and monitoring sessions, a passion for improving local health, and a full UK driving licence with willingness to drive a community van.

Qualifications

• Qualified instructor in a relevant discipline to deliver sessions independently.
• Experience in planning, delivering and monitoring sessions.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to drive a community van.
• Passion for improving health in the local community.

Responsibilities

• Deliver sessions in the community, outside Leisure Centres.
• Set up and manage Healthy Communities projects/programmes in Northumberland.
• Monitor and evaluate activities as requested by line manager.
• Deliver specific Healthy Communities projects (e.g., Exercise Referral, Falls prevention) as discussed with line manager.
