Job summary

Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust is recruiting a Band 3 Health Care Assistant for the Lower Lea Valley Integrated Community Team in Bishops College Town, Cheshunt. The role is part time (30 hours per week) across seven days between 8am and 10pm, with a salary of £25,760–£27,476 per annum pro rata and a closing date of 11 November 2026.

Qualifications

• Good General Education
• NVQ Level 3, or equivalent knowledge and experience
• Demonstrable good literacy, numeracy and IT skills to be able to undertake administration and clerical tasks that are associated with the care process.

Responsibilities

• To work within a team that provides an assessment and care service to patients with nursing / health needs.
• To visit patients in their own homes and provide appropriate care and support as defined in the Care Plan. This will include aspects of personal care, hygiene, uncomplicated nursing procedures, exercise, activity and treatment programmes prescribed by therapists.
• To support and enable patients in a range of activities to promote independent living and monitor their well‑being.
• To undertake administration and clerical tasks that are associated with the care process including record keeping and use of computer.
