Essex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Band 3 Healthcare Assistant for Chelmer Ward at the Derwent Centre, Princess Alexandra Hospital, Harlow. The role supports the clinical team in delivering care to adult inpatients, with a 24/7 roster requirement.

Applicants must be prepared for face-to-face interviews; sponsorship is not provided for all roles. The post includes full induction and mandatory training as part of the HCA Academy framework.

Qualifikationen

• Assist the multi-professional team in providing in-patient care.
• Deliver planned care to service users identified by the nominated professional.
• Observe and report changes in physical or mental health to the nominated professional.

Aufgaben

• To fulfil the role of Co-Worker under supervision of a qualified nurse/clinician.
• To deliver planned care to service users identified by the nominated professional.
• Assist qualified staff in the physical monitoring of a patient’s health, including monitoring of blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration, weight, drug and alcohol screening (after appropriate training).
• Assist senior staff in planning and delivery of therapeutic and social activities for patients in the clinical area.
• Participate in initial assessment of service users’ problems, planning, implementation and evaluation of interventions, ensuring needs are met.
