Job summary

Sandwell Council is seeking a Grants Support Officer to help deliver grants to community groups within Sandwell. You will engage with local organisations, support administration of town meetings, and promote the grants scheme to build the team’s reputation and impact.

You will work with elected members, officers and partners to ensure effective delivery of meetings and activities, with flexibility for some evenings or weekends to meet community needs.

Qualifications

• Level 2 numeracy and literacy or equivalent qualifications.
• Experience working with the voluntary and community sector to support grants.
• Able to respond to written correspondence and work with others.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible presence and act as point of contact for local organisations applying for grants.
• Communicate clearly by phone/email; build strong relationships to secure best applications.
