Job summary

East Anglia's Children's Hospices (EACH) is seeking a Community Fundraiser to develop fundraising opportunities, engage supporters, volunteers and local organisations across Cambridgeshire & West Essex. The role combines community outreach with event participation and fundraising activity.

You will work with the Senior Community Fundraiser and team to meet regional objectives, maintain supporter records, travel as needed with a full driving licence, and attend occasional evenings or weekend

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer, client or community-facing role.
• Experience building and maintaining effective relationships.
• Effective communication and listening skills.
• An interest in the charity sector and community fundraising.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with colleagues and volunteers.
• Full driving licence and access to transport to travel throughout the region.
• Flexibility to attend occasional evening and weekend events.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with supporters, community groups and local organisations
• Encourage and support individuals and groups with fundraising activities
• Help achieve fundraising objectives across the region
• Represent EACH at community events, presentations and hospice tours
• Support and coordinate fundraising volunteers
• Contribute ideas to help develop inclusive and engaging fundraising activities
• Work collaboratively with fundraising, marketing & other teams
• Maintain accurate supporter information and records using database systems
