Job summary

Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a Registered Mental Health Nurse in a specialist Community Forensic Mental team.

The role supports individuals with forensic needs within Cornwall and beyond, coordinating care with MDTs, secure pathways, and other providers. It requires travel county-wide, a strong caseload and commitment to high standards of care within a regional SWPC model.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in adult community mental health, forensic community or secure/inpatient settings
• Experience in managing caseloads
• Sound knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983 and related legislation including MOJ restriction orders
• Evidence of ongoing professional development
• Current UK registration with the NMC as RMHN

Responsibilities

• Provide care coordination and specialist community forensic interventions including assessment, care planning and evaluation
• Engage with secure services pathways to deliver high standard care for mentally disordered offenders and those with forensic needs
• Manage caseloads in community, secure or other provider settings, in and out of area
• Deliver Tier 1–4 interventions as part of the SWPC regional model of care
• Act as Ministry of Justice social supervisor for identified clients
• Mentor and support learners and junior staff
