Job summary

Flitwick Town Council is seeking a Community & Environmental Officer to deliver community-focused projects and environmental initiatives for the town. The role is 37 hours per week on a 5-month contract with a view to permanency, with a salary of £30,023 per annum.

The post involves organising community activities, promoting engagement, managing events and working with the Council and partners to enhance the local environment and biodiversity.

Qualifications

• Key Skills Level 2 in Maths and English (E).
• Evidence of safeguarding and first aid training (D).

Responsibilities

• Organise and oversee community projects, prioritising the Community Strategy.
• Encourage effective local community engagement.
• Support delivery of community fridge and related activities.
• Develop, deliver and evaluate project initiatives with promotion.
• Support the Community Services Committee.
