Craven College seeks a proactive Community Engagement & Innovation Officer to strengthen community provision across designated areas and partner with organisations to grow adult funded provision and enrolment.

The role reports to the Head of Department and requires engagement with diverse communities, data-driven skills analysis, and delivery of inclusive learning opportunities across West and North Yorkshire.

Qualifications

• Experience of identifying needs and developing successful community learning initiatives.
• Qualified to Level 2 (GCSE A*-C or equivalent) in English and maths (or willing to work towards completion).
• Proven success in team leading or educational project management.
• Experience of maintaining accurate records;
• Experience of producing high quality written and verbal reports.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate effectively.
• Experience of working within a team and with a variety of partners.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, on own initiative to pre-determined targets and deadlines.
• Experience of engaging hard to reach learners.
• Level 3 teaching qualification or willingness to work towards this.
• Computer literate with ability to set up and maintain spreadsheets and databases; IT qualification.
• Access to insured vehicle and valid driving licence.
• Willingness to travel regularly within West and North Yorkshire.
• Educated to degree level or equivalent.
• Experience with Education Skills Funding Agency record-keeping.
• Understanding of Adult Agenda in FE sector.
• Knowledge of FE and Adult Funding.

Responsabilités

• Gather, develop and disseminate community engagement practices impacting inclusion across West and North Yorkshire.
• Identify skills gaps in literacy, numeracy and digital skills within communities.
• Support the HoD with strategies to support disengaged and underrepresented groups.
• Develop and maintain community relationships with key influencers.
• Create delivery solutions for HoD approval to meet targets.
• Facilitate connections with community agencies.
• Organise inclusive events to promote College offer.
• Network with partnerships and local agencies through forums and events.
• Meet recruitment and income targets for Adult delivery.
• Support operational delivery of courses in liaision with management.
• Deliver IAG and manage enrolment when applicable.
• Follow HR policy for recruitment of teachers to communities.
• Represent the College in external stakeholder meetings.
• Be conversant with equality, diversity and safeguarding policies.
• Participate in appraisal and professional development; perform other duties as required.
