Job summary

National Trust’s Fell Foot location seeks a Community Engagement Co-ordinator to strengthen local partnerships and reduce access barriers for the Fell Foot Active Base. The role focuses on creating inclusive opportunities and a thriving community hub at Fell Foot.

You will work 22.5 hours/week on-site, coordinating with Commercial colleagues and supporting day-to-day operations. Interview date is set for early September; location is Ulverston, Lake District.

Qualifications

  • Experience in community engagement and participatory approaches.
  • Experience delivering sport and access opportunities.
  • Ability to work with diverse communities, partners and volunteers.
  • Confident using data and insight to shape decisions and engagement strategies.
  • Collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for inclusive experiences.
  • Strong communication, planning and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strong relationships with community partners on site and support shared aims.
  • Build a community around the Active Base to enable partner usage.
  • Identify and reduce access barriers as part of a long-term site plan.
  • Manage Active Base administration for partners, members and staff.
  • Oversee licensing arrangements for groups and partners using the site.
