Job summary

London Borough of Tower Hamlets is seeking two Engagement Officers to support Connect to Work across the borough, helping residents access employment support and overcome barriers to work.

You will build relationships with communities, employers and partner agencies, lead outreach at events, generate referrals, and promote inclusive opportunities. You will work with colleagues to develop new opportunities and ensure services reach those most in need.

Qualifications

• Experience in community engagement, outreach, partnership work, or stakeholder engagement.
• Confidence in building relationships with diverse people and organisations.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Proactive, self-motivated, able to work independently.
• Commitment to promoting inclusion, equality and opportunity for all.
• Genuine passion for helping residents improve their lives through employment.

Responsibilities

• Lead outreach and engagement activities across the borough.
• Promote the programme at events and community venues.
• Generate referrals and support residents as they begin their journey with Connect to Work.
• Develop new opportunities and strengthen local networks with partners.
• Ensure services reach those who need them most.
