Job summary

Pilgrims’ Friend Society is seeking an Activities and Community Engagement Facilitator for The Evington Home in Leicester. The role focuses on connecting residents with families and the wider community, developing programmes and coordinating volunteers. The position is full-time and based on site.

You’ll engage with local churches, plan meaningful activities, and raise the home’s profile in the community, while fostering relationships with church leaders and community groups.

Qualifications

• Public speaking and confident communication with groups.
• Ability to build relationships with churches and community groups.
• Experience coordinating volunteers and events is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Build and develop relationships with local churches and community groups.
• Keep churches and contacts informed via newsletters and communications.
• Visit churches and community organisations and present about the home and work.
• Develop relationships with ministers and community leaders.
• Plan and facilitate activities, events and outings for residents.
• Coordinate a programme of monthly activities based on residents' interests.
• Recruit, support and lead volunteers.
• Organise activities that involve families.
