Job summary

Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils are seeking a Community Energy Development and Partnerships Officer to support BRACE-funded projects and build resilient communities across Mid Suffolk. You will work with communities, parish councils and partners to identify opportunities, develop projects and drive delivery in a dynamic, proactive role.

You will develop relationships, coordinate funding, oversee feasibility work and report on progress, while promoting inclusive, community-led energy

Qualifications

• Experience in community engagement and partnership working.
• Knowledge of community energy, sustainability or climate action.
• Experience with coordinating projects and funding activity.
• Ability to communicate clearly with diverse audiences.
• Willingness to travel across a large rural area and hold a valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with communities and local partners.
• Identify and develop community energy opportunities.
• Support projects from ideas through implementation.
• Maintain a pipeline of community energy projects.
• Organise meetings, workshops and engagement activities.
• Coordinate technical advice and feasibility studies.
• Identify funding opportunities and support grant activity.
• Support BRACE programme delivery and reporting.
• Monitor progress and contribute to evaluations.
