Job summary

The Children’s Trust in Tadworth is seeking a Retail Van Driver & stock Collector to join the Retail team. You will move, collect, and deliver merchandise across a defined boundary, coordinating with Shop Managers and the Retail Operations Manager to ensure timely, careful handling of all items.

You will lift heavy items, maintain security of goods, and support stock storage across multiple sites. The role requires strong customer care and the ability to engage with stakeholders across the

Qualifications

• Able to drive a van and manage deliveries/collections.
• Experience handling stock, furniture and donations.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Collect and deliver donated goods to locations within agreed timescales.
• Provide delivery/collection service to external stock sites via Donation Stations.
• Conduct bag drops and stock collections as required.
• Maintain security and minimize losses of goods in transit.
• Handle large/heavy items, including furniture, safely.
• Support multi-site stock storage and movement for The Children’s Trust.
• Transport rubbish and unwanted items to recycling/refuse sites as appropriate.
• Represent The Children’s Trust in collections/deliveries to customers.
• Coordinate with shop managers on stock movement between stores.
• Train and develop Volunteer Van/Driver Assistants where needed.
• Provide training and development to the Volunteer.
