Job summary

Whittington Health is recruiting a district nurse for the Haringey West District Nursing Team on a fixed-term contract until September 2027. The post involves home visits to housebound adults, carrying out assessments, and coordinating care with a multidisciplinary team.

You will work with a dynamic nursing leadership group and benefit from a structured induction plus a 12-month preceptorship, with leadership development and safety devices provided.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with current UK NMC registration.
• Experience in district/community nursing desirable.
• Willing to work rotating shifts including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Carry out patient assessments and plan care.
• Perform continence and catheter care.
• Administer IV medications and monitor effects.
• Provide wound care and leg ulcer management.
• Deliver palliative and end-of-life care.
• Safeguard patients with MDT involvement.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team.
