Job summary

Whittington Health NHS Trust is seeking a Community Staff Nurse (District Nursing) to join our Haringey West District Nursing Team on a fixed-term contract to September 2027. The role is full-time (37.5 hours) across rotating shifts 8:30am-5:00pm or 2:00pm-10:00pm, with weekend work on a pattern.

You will deliver direct care at patients' homes, perform assessments, wound care, leg ulcer management, IV and palliative care, and work with a multidisciplinary team to support self-management and safe

Responsibilities

• Patient assessments
• Ear Irrigation
• Health Promotion
• Leg ulcer management (including doppler assessment and compression therapy)
• Management of Enteral Feeding Tubes
• Medication administration and management- including IV medications
• Palliative care and end of life care (including care of rocket and Pleurx drains)
• Safeguarding (with MDT involvement)
• Wound care (post operative, surgical, pressure ulcer, leg ulcers, burns, diabetic foot ulcer etc)
• Trial without catheter
