Job summary

Rother Voluntary Action (RVA) in Bexhill-on-Sea is seeking a Community Development Team Lead to guide RVA’s community development team. This permanent, part-time role (28 hours) offers hybrid working and reports to the CEO.

You will manage a small team and drive delivery of community development and infrastructure services across Rother’s urban and rural areas, turning priorities into practical action and strengthening local voluntary sector partnerships. Evening/weekend work may be required.

Salary: £34,795 (pro rata) based on 35 hour week
Contract: Permanent
Location: Bexhill-on-Sea with hybrid working
Responsible to: CEO
Line management: small team
Special conditions: Occasional evening and weekend work may be required

Are you an experienced people manager with a passion for strengthening communities and the voluntary sector? As RVA’s Community Development Team Lead, you’ll lead and support a talented team delivering vital community development and infrastructure services across Rother’s diverse urban and rural communities, turning priorities into practical action and making a real difference.
