Job summary

Locala is seeking a Bank GP with Special Interest in Dermatology to provide high-quality dermatology consultations within our community clinics. The role is flexible bank sessions across FarTown-based dermatology sites, aligned with service requirements.

Applicants must be fully GMC-registered GPs with dermatology training or portfolio evidence and be competent in managing benign skin lesions and minor skin surgery.

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration with licence to practise.
• Dermatology experience with appropriate training or portfolio.
• Competence in assessing benign skin lesions and minor skin surgery.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and know when to refer.
• Commitment to patient safety and evidence-based practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide dermatology consultations and treatments in a community setting.
• Assess and manage inflammatory skin conditions (eczema, acne, psoriasis, rosacea).
• Perform minor skin procedures (excisons, punch biopsies, cryotherapy) within competence.
• Escalate cases per clinical pathways and refer when needed.
• Collaborate with dermatology nursing team and Consultant Dermatologist.
• Participate in governance, QI and clinical discussions.
• Maintain accurate records and follow professional standards.
