Job summary

WhereToTalk in Leeds is seeking an experienced and dedicated Counsellor to join our community-based service for parents and carers. You will coordinate and deliver high-quality counselling, grounded in compassion, courage and collaboration.

We require a recognised counselling qualification (minimum Diploma), experience counselling adults from diverse backgrounds, and the ability to support with initial assessments.

Qualifications

• A recognised counselling qualification (minimum Diploma level).
• Experience counselling adults, including those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
• Willingness and ability to support with initial assessments.
• Compassionate, professional approach.
• Collaborative mindset and commitment to working as part of a supportive team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver a high-quality community-based counselling service for parents/carers.
• Play a key role in service coordination within the team.
• Contribute to maintaining standards of care and safety in client work.
