Herefordshire Council is seeking a passionate Talk Community Cooking in the Community Coordinator to lead a nutrition and cooking programme across Herefordshire. The role combines practical community delivery with strategic partnership work to tackle food insecurity and improve health outcomes.

You will coordinate workshops, build local capacity, manage a grants scheme and work with partners to strengthen local food resilience and sustainable food systems across the county.

Qualifikationen

• Nutrition education and healthy eating knowledge.
• Experience delivering cooking workshops or food education sessions.
• Experience working with communities and building trusted relationships.
• Knowledge of healthy eating, nutrition and behaviour change.

Aufgaben

• Develop and deliver community cooking workshops and food education sessions.
• Create a Community Cooking Toolkit with recipes and resources.
• Design and deliver Train the Trainer programmes.
• Engage with residents across age groups to build cooking confidence and knowledge.
• Manage a Community Cooking Grant Scheme.
• Represent Talk Community on the Herefordshire Food Alliance.
• Support delivery of the Herefordshire Food Strategy and food security priorities.
• Collaborate with food banks, shares and larders to strengthen community food provision.
• Develop sustainable food projects and promote reducing food waste.
• Link community cooking to health improvement programmes.
