Job summary

Blackpool Council is seeking a part-time Community Cook to run the Family Hub Café at Central Family Hub. You will organise, operate and supervise the café, ensuring a welcoming environment and a healthy menu for users.

You will bring excellent communication and organisation skills, with experience in large-scale catering and budgeting. The role requires flexibility between 8:30am and 5pm, within a supportive Family Hub team.

Responsibilities

• Run and supervise the Family Hub Café within Central Family Hub.

• Provide a warm welcome to hub users and ensure a healthy menu is offered.
• Contribute to budgeting targets and efficient café operations.

Salary: NJC Grade D SCP 7-11 £27,274 - £29,071 pro rata per annum

Our children’s services team is leading the way with exciting developments to further improve the lives of children and families in Blackpool. As a result, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Community Cook to run the Family Hub Café at our , Central Family Hub.

These team members will be based within our Family Hub and will organise, operate and supervise the Café in accordance with the standards required of the Council and those imposed by statute. This will include providing a warm welcome to our hub and ensure that a menu of healthy nutritional food is on offer.

We are looking for candidates with excellent communication and organisational skills, considerable experience of working in a large scale catering environment and managing budgetary targets.

This is a unique opportunity to join a supportive Family Hub team who are passionate about Early Help and committed to ensuring improved outcomes for children in the early years of their life and their families.
