Job summary

The Eco Centre South West is seeking a friendly Climate Community Outreach Worker to engage Bridgwater communities and promote sustainable living. You will run outreach activities, demonstrations and workshops, helping people discover the E-Save app and supporting volunteers.

This part-time, fixed-term role is home-based with regular local travel. Hours up to 30 hours per month; salary from £12–£15 per hour or £26,437–£30,000 pro rata for employed staff, with a flexible start October/November

Qualifications

• Experience in community work, outreach, sustainability or volunteering is helpful.
• Transferable skills and enthusiasm are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with local communities, groups and organisations.
• Run outreach activities, workshops and demonstrations.
• Help people discover and use the E-Save app.
• Share simple, practical ideas for sustainable living.
• Recruit and support volunteers.
• Connect with local environmental and sustainability projects.
• Assist with promotional activities and social media.
• Keep simple, accurate records of your work.
