Job summary

Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated Children’s Nurse to join the East Berkshire Community Childrens Nursing Team in Slough. You will deliver specialist care across community settings, including homes, schools and clinics, supporting families to achieve the best outcomes.

The role is full-time, fixed-term for 12 months (37.5 hours/week) with flexible hours within 9:00–17:00, Monday to Friday. Excellent development opportunities and a supportive team are offered.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with current NMC registration.
• Significant experience caring for children and young people with complex health needs.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of children and young people with complex health needs in the community.
• Deliver high-quality, specialist nursing care in homes, schools, respite settings and clinics.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care with families and professionals.
• Provide training and competency assessments for parents and carers.
• Support children requiring complex interventions including enteral feeding and oxygen therapy.
• Collaborate with health, education and social care to coordinate care.
• Contribute to safeguarding, risk assessments and clinical governance.
