South Ayrshire Council is seeking a dedicated Janitor for Prestwick Community Centre. The role covers security, cleaning, caretaking and general maintenance to ensure safe, welcoming buildings for visitors and staff.

Working day shifts with an additional back shift, you will join a frontline team supporting the operation of council buildings. PVG clearance is required, and benefits include generous leave and wellbeing services.

Qualifications

• Experience in frontline building or facilities support is desirable.
• Ability to follow procedures and maintain a safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the effective operation of council buildings and their visitors, including security, maintenance, caretaking and cleaning.
• Support basic maintenance tasks as directed to ensure clean, safe and welcoming premises.
• Respond to routine issues and contribute to a well‑run frontline service for staff and the public.
