Job summary

Kent County Council is hiring a full-time Support Worker in Dartford, part of our Dartford Community Day Services team, helping adults with learning and physical disabilities develop life skills and participate in local communities. You will lead activities such as cooking, arts and crafts and outings, support individuals to achieve personal goals, and promote independence with person-centred care plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support floor staff to ensure the day runs smoothly.
• Work with the Team coordinator to improve daily practice.
• Deputise in the Team coordinator's absence.
• Support individuals to achieve personal goals and independence.
• Promote independence through tailored care plans.
• Encourage social inclusion and community participation.
• Assist with some intimate personal care and mobility needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues across Kent services.
• Driving service vehicles is desirable but not essential.
