Job summary

ISLAND HEALTHCARE LTD is seeking a warm and reliable Community - Hub Care Assistant for Isle of Wight living. The role is based at Tile House, Shanklin, with the Hub covering Shanklin and surrounding areas.

You will work 20 hours weekly on HUB shifts, supporting people in their own homes with essential daily tasks and care plans. Applicants should have NVQ2/3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent, a full driving licence, and a flexible approach to visiting clients across Island locations.

Qualifications

• NVQ2/Diploma in Health & Social Care or equivalent, plus NVQ3/Diploma in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
• Full, clean driving licence is required.
• 18 years or older and able to work across Island locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on care in clients' homes, supporting daily activities.
• Assist with washing, dressing, meals, medication, and safety checks.
• Follow care plans and maintain accurate notes after each visit.
• Deliver a calm, kind presence and respect client dignity and privacy.

Due to the location of this role, applicants must live on the Isle of Wight or have confirmed plans to relocate. Job Title: Community - Hub Care Assistant Location: Based at Tile House, Shanklin - Hub covers Shanklin and surrounding areas. Hours: 20 hours per week Hub shifts cover the period 7am - 9pm and shift times are dependent on the Hub schedule Salary: Basic rate: £12.80 - 50p ph for HUB shifts NVQ 2/Diploma in Health & Social Care or equivalent + 25p per hour NVQ 3/Diploma in Health & Social Care or equivalent + 50p per hour Enhancements: 10% for weekends Attendance Bonus: +75p per hour if you attend all shifts on your rota. What We’d Love You to Bring

We’re looking for someone kind, thoughtful and calm under pressure. You’re 18 or over and happy to work on your own. You can follow plans but also use your common sense. You treat people with care, dignity and respect. You’re confident writing short notes or updating a plan. You take health and safety seriously, especially when working alone. A clean driving licence. NVQ2 or 3 in care are great, but not essential.
