Job Description

We are looking for an evening & weekend Community Care Assistant, Evening shifts are 4:15pm - 9pm or 5:30pm - 10:15pm, including alternate weekends. Please note you would need to be available during the daytime for two initial training days and further training sessions.

At Home Instead we know you can't provide the highest standard of care with 15-minute calls, and no one wants to be rushed. That's why we haveminimum 1-hour callsplus suitable travel time to ensure you can take your time with clients, withmileage reimbursement. Wematchour Care Professionals and clients together based onskills, personality and interests. All initial calls with a client who is new to you will be introductions with the support of another colleague, so you can reallyget to knowyour client and their needs.

• £14.00 per hourplus35p per mile.
• £28.00 per hour on bank holidays.

Responsibilities as a Domiciliary Home Care Assistant:

• Support withhousehold taskssuch as tidying, cleaning and laundry.
• Make, or assist to make your client's favouriteevening meals.
• Offercompanionship and social support, engaging with your client'shobbiesand getting to know what they enjoy most.
• Support withpersonal caretasks such as showering and getting ready for bed.
• Take your client out to places of their choice, e.g.to the local shops.
• Writeaccurate daily notesand report any concerns as per company procedure.
• Administermedicationand record appropriately.

Requirements:

• Experience is not requireddue to our comprehensive in-house training. However, any previous care experience either professional or personal is an advantage.
• You must have a fulldriver's licenceandyour own vehicle.
• You must bereliable and punctualto ensure we can continue to provide an excellent service to our clients.
• Must have acaring, friendly personalityand behappy to have a chat.
• Must be able to commit to our hours options and workalternate weekends.
• Must live in or nearStockport.
