Home Instead Stockportare looking for caring, friendly individuals to help us support people to stay independent in their own home, by visiting them and offeringassistance and companionship. Wematchour Care Professionals and clients together based onskills, personality and interests. Visits with any client who is new to you are always introductions with the support of another colleague, so you can reallyget to knowyour clients, and you won't be thrown in at the deep end.

We know you can't provide the highest standard of care during short visits, and no one wants to be rushed. That's why we haveminimum 1-hour visitsplus suitable travel time to ensure you can take your time with clients, withmileage reimbursement.

We have a range ofpart-timeoptions available, but you must be able to commit to at least 3 weekdays plus alternate weekends. Popular shift options are8am - 2pm, 4:15pm - 8:45pm or 5:30pm - 10:15pm.The days you work will always be the same, allowing you to plan ahead.

• £13.00 - £14.00 per hourplus35p per mile.
• £26 - £28 per hour on bank holidays.
• Paid face-to-face trainingdelivered by a Registered Nurse.
• Paid shadowing callswith your matched clients.

Responsibilities as a Domiciliary Home Care Assistant:

• Support withhousehold taskssuch as tidying, cleaning and laundry.
• Make, or assist to make your client's favouritemeals.
• Offercompanionship and social support, engaging with your client'shobbiesand getting to know what they enjoy most.
• Support withpersonal caretasks such as getting washed and dressed for the day.
• Take your client out to places of their choice, e.g.to the local shops.
• Writeaccurate daily notesand report any concerns as per company procedure.
• Administermedicationand record appropriately.

Requirements:

• Experience is not requireddue to our comprehensive in-house training. However, we would love to hear about any previous care experience either professional or personal, if you have this.
• You must have a fulldriver's licenceandyour own vehicle.
• You must bereliable and punctualto ensure we can continue to provide an excellent service to our clients.
• Must have acaring, friendly personality.
• Must be able to commit to our hours options and workalternate weekends.
• Must live in or nearStockport.
