Job summary

Avon Search is recruiting for a Community Care Assistant in Colwyn Bay, offering guaranteed 30 contracted hours per week and training. The role involves providing compassionate domiciliary care to clients in their own homes with shifts from 7:30am–1:30pm and 4:00pm–9:00pm.

No prior care experience is required, and a full UK driving licence is preferred. Pay is £13.65 per hour on weekdays and £14.65 per hour on weekends, with travel time paid (£12 per hour) and mileage at 45p per mile.

Responsibilities

• Support clients with personal care and daily living activities.

• Support clients to attend appointments and access their local community.

The Role

As a Community Care Assistant, you will support clients within their own homes, helping them maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life.

You will provide high-quality person-centred care tailored to each individual’s needs while building trusted relationships with clients and their families.

Your duties will include:

• Assisting with mobility and daily living activities
• Supporting with medication in line with care plans
• Preparing meals and encouraging nutrition and hydration
• Undertaking light household duties, including cleaning and laundry
• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Supporting clients to attend appointments and access their local community
• Encouraging independence and promoting choice
• Maintaining accurate care records
