Job summary

Hibob Inc. is seeking a Catering Assistant for Wythenshawe Lifestyle Centre. This permanent, part-time role (16 hours per week) involves preparing and serving food, delivering friendly customer service and supporting events and cafe operations.

You will handle stock, till transactions, and ensure food safety, hygiene and COSHH compliance. The role requires flexibility across sites and coordination with volunteers and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering, café or food service environments.
• Experience preparing and serving food to customers.
• Experience delivering high standards of customer service.
• Experience following food hygiene and health and safety procedures.
• Experience handling cash and using till systems.
• Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and serve high-quality food and beverages.
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain satisfaction.
• Set up and maintain dining and function areas; assist events and private hires.
• Manage stock, ordering, rotation, portion control and cash handling.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, health and safety, COSHH.
• Contribute to menu planning and service improvements.
• Attend training and work flexibly across sites, including evenings and weekends.
