Job summary

Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust is seeking a Band 3 Breathlessness Rehabilitation Assistant to join our Community Breathlessness Rehabilitation team in Leicestershire. The post is permanent and will involve travel across Leicestershire to deliver rehabilitation in several locations to patients with chronic respiratory and cardiac conditions.

You will work in a multi-disciplinary team, supporting clinicians and leading community-based breathlessness rehabilitation classes, including

Qualifications

• Motivated and enthusiastic with excellent communication skills.
• Hardworking and conscientious, friendly and approachable.
• Basic knowledge of pulmonary and/or cardiac rehabilitation.
• Experience of working with members of the public.
• Previous experience in health care or exercise settings is essential; able to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver community-based breathlessness rehabilitation classes across Leicestershire.
• Complete patient assessments and walking tests.
• Assist clinicians with delivery of group exercise and education sessions.
