Job summary

Barnardo's Sandwell Family Hubs is seeking a Parenting & School Readiness Practitioner to support children, young people and families aged 0–19 (up to 25 with SEND). You will lead sessions, build trusting relationships with parents and carers, and work as part of a supportive Family Hub team.

The role involves working across Sandwell locations with some evenings and weekends to meet family needs; commitment to inclusion and equality, and flexible working arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Lead parenting and school readiness programmes and sessions, including groups, workshops, drop-ins and one-to-one support
• Build positive, trusting relationships with parents and carers
• Work as part of a supportive Family Hub team
• Work with partner services to help families get the support they need at the right time
