Job summary

Liquid Personnel is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to support community services in Blackburn. The locum role focuses on timely initial assessments and promoting independence, safety and wellbeing in clients' homes, within a local authority setting.

The successful candidate will complete Occupational Therapy assessments and oversee equipment provision and home adaptations in line with statutory requirements.

Qualifications

• HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist with relevant OT qualification.
• Experience working in a local authority/community setting is required.
• Strong communication, organisation and time-management skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Undertake community-based Occupational Therapy assessments.
• Identify needs and recommend equipment and adaptations.
• Complete manual handling assessments.
• Plan and facilitate minor and major home adaptations.
• Collaborate with service users, families, carers and multidisciplinary professionals.
• Maintain accurate, timely and legally compliant records.
