Job summary

A leading healthcare provider is seeking a Therapy/Rehabilitation Assistant to support therapeutic interventions in a dynamic healthcare environment. Qualifications

  • Experience in working as a Therapy/Rehabilitation Assistant.

Education/Qualifications

Essential criteria

  • Multi-professional NVQ Level 3, or equivalent.
  • Numeracy and Literacy skills (to GCSE level or equivalent)

Desirable criteria

  • Foundation degree in Health and Social Care

Experience

Essential criteria

  • Experience in working at the level of a Therapy/Rehabilitation Assistant carrying out therapeutic interventions.
  • Experience of working as part of a multi-agency, multi-professional team.
  • Evidence of working unsupervised.

Desirable criteria

  • Experience of working in falls/general rehabilitation in acute or community. Experience of training other staff.
  • Experience as a care/voluntary work.

Skills

  • Ability to move and handle patients and equipment with appropriate training
  • Ability to teach practical skills
  • Able to develop and maintain effective communication with a range of people about a range of matters
  • Good interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Able to maintain quality of own work
