Job summary

Transformation Unit in Manchester is seeking a Community Administrator (Band 3) to join the Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. The role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, with a salary of £25,760–£27,476 per annum.

You will provide admin support to the Community Mental Health Team, handle telephone calls, process mail, maintain stationery stocks and produce meeting minutes.

Qualifications

  • Ability to use Microsoft packages to a high standard.
  • Knowledge of word processing.
  • GCSE Maths and English or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Provide admin support to the clinical team in relation to care plans and clinical correspondence.
  • Dealing with all incoming and outgoing mail, processing, distributing and responding within limits.
  • Ensure that sufficient stocks of stationery are available to meet the needs of the team without resorting to stockpiling.
  • Co-ordinate and facilitate the dissemination of information to and from the team.
  • Dealing efficiently, precisely and courteously with telephone callers.
  • Producing minutes from daily zoning meetings, Safeguarding meetings and any other team meeting as required.
  • To provide a supervisory role to receptionist and apprentices, this will include line management supervision.

Job overview

To provide an efficient and effective administrative service with the Community Mental Health Team To carry out all administrative tasks in relation to the CMHT role, answering telephone calls to patients, relatives and various clinical staff and professionals to provide and efficient mental health service.

Education/Qualifications
  • Ability to use Microsoft packages to a high standard
  • Knowledge of word application essential
  • GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
Experience
  • Ability to liaise with multidisciplinary team and differing levels of personnel
  • Needs to be able to prioritise importance of tasks and how to tackle them
  • Must be able to work with colleagues, sharing workload, particularly in times of colleague absence
  • Working within a confidential environment
  • Experience of using Trust/Social Care systems
Knowledge
  • Clear understanding of the Data Protection Act
  • Use of office equipment
  • Adaptable to new systems/processes
