Position

An opportunity has arisen for a Community Addictions Psychiatric Staff Nurse at Caley Court Resource Centre.

What you will do:

With access to supervision, will assist in undertaking comprehensive clinical assessment and recovery focussed treatment support to clients with a range of alcohol and drug problems including mental, sexual and physical health related issues. You will provide ongoing care to those who are clinically assessed as appropriate and will liaise and work in conjunction with other statutory or non-statutory support organisations. You will also assess for a range of mental health problems and respond appropriately to these.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

You are required to be a first level registered nurse in mental health, with proof of a valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.

Awareness of addiction related theory is essential.

Evidence of continuing professional development must be available.

Experience of working in the field of addictions is desirable.
