Level 2 Community Activator Coach apprenticeship

Job description

You will spend most of your week helping to deliver sport and physical activity in our partner primary schools across Cheshire and Wirral. Working alongside our experienced coaches you will:

• - Support and lead parts of PE lessons and sports sessions
• - Help run breakfast, lunchtime and after school sports clubs
• - Support our holiday camps, enrichment days and sports events
• - Help plan and set up fun, safe activities for children
• - Support pupils in the classroom as a Sports Teaching Assistant when needed
• - Help our recruitment team keep in touch with candidates and stay organised
• - Help with emails, paperwork and general office tasks at our Ellesmere Port office

You will be part of a friendly team and will learn how a busy sports and education company runs day to day.

This apprenticeship is part-funded and supported by Coach Core's charitable programme, creating employment opportunities for 16-24-year-olds who have faced barriers to education, employment or career progression. We support young people with the potential to succeed who may have experienced financial disadvantage, additional learning needs, caring responsibilities or other personal or socio-economic challenges. No previous experience is required - we're looking for enthusiasm, potential and a willingness to learn. Coach Core provides additional support throughout the apprenticeship, while the employer is responsible for the final recruitment decision.

You will be working towards a Community Activator Coach L2 apprenticeship over the duration of 18 months.
