Community Accommodation Advisor

• Contract Type: Full time, Permanent
• Salary: £28,851 per annum
• Hours: 37.5 hours per week
• Location: Nottingham
• Vetting Requirement: Enhanced DBS check against the adult workforce and prison clearance.
• This role does not offer eligibility for visa sponsorship.

This role offers a starting salary within Nacro’s pay structure of £28,851, per annum with expected progression to £29,572, per annum within the first year, subject to meeting clear criteria and performance standards, with further pay progression available in the future. About the role:

Working in partnership with the Prison and Probation Service of Nottingham’s community, you’ll work with a caseload of clients in the community and provide advice and support relevant to their housing needs. You’ll carry out initial assessments to understand each person’s specific needs to agree a tailored action plan. This may include the provision of support to end or sustain a tenancy, find accommodation or basic budgeting advice and liaison with other agencies. You’ll provide support face to face with individuals and groups.

This role requires regular travel across an allocated area and therefore, a full valid UK driver’s license and access to your own vehicle with business insurance are essential.

You will need to be a great communicator,enjoy working in a busy people-focusedrole,organised and solution-focused.The right candidate can engage others and is non-judgmental.You will bring with you, integrity,a proactive attitude and good ICT skills (Microsoft Office & Excel and custom databases).
