What you'll be doing
We're looking for an experienced and forward-thinking communications professional to support the delivery of the External Affairs strategy for the Speaker of the House of Commons. Based within the House of Commons Communications Office and closely aligned with the Office of the Speaker, this is an exciting opportunity to shape high-impact messaging and digital content that informs and inspires.
As part of the House of Commons central communications team, you'll play a key role in communicating the work of the House, strengthening international and interparliamentary relationships, and promoting parliamentary democracy.
Due to the nature of the role, the expectation will be for the postholder to work from the parliamentary estate while the House is sitting. This equates to roughly 80 per cent of the week during sitting times.
