Responsibilities
About the role
We're looking for a communications professional to join our Global Trust & Safety and Technology Communications team. In this role, you'll play a role in helping to tell the story of how TikTok continues to create positive and safe experiences for our community. This is an opportunity to learn and grow your communications skills as you focus on strengthening TikTok's brand globally.

The ideal candidate should:
- Have a proven track record of writing to a high standard
- Thrives when collaborating with colleagues based around the world
- Work well under pressure, be self-motivated, and able to respond to and collaborate on a range of situations
- Be passionate about the technology sector and how it intersects with societal issues. You're a strategic thinker as well as a practical doer, comfortable with rolling up your sleeves to get things done
- Have an understanding of how industry and platform issues are discussed by different groups, including the media, policymakers, civil society, academics and NGOs.

- Create blog posts, media pitches, social media copy, and launch materials to amplify announcements and initiatives that build trust in TikTok's work on issues related to online safety, civility and integrity
- Work collaboratively with Public Policy, Trust and Safety, Legal and other teams to find proactive opportunities for positive storytelling about TikTok's efforts in trust and safety, and transparency
- Draft materials that help educate a variety of audiences, including fact sheets, talking points and bios
- Help train and advise spokespeople in preparation for media interviews, press conferences, and presentations
- Travel as needed to support the team and be willing to work flexible hours when needed

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- 1+ years' experience in Communications, Public Policy or other related fields
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English
- Strong organizational and project management skills

Preferred Qualifications
- An adaptable, proactive, enthusiastic, and results-oriented working style and approach is essential. You don't just 'get the job done', you take initiative and think about how you can add more value to go beyond the brief
- A highly analytical mindset, with qualitative and quantitative research skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adapting quickly and flexibly to change
