Job description

We are Health Unlimited and are seeking an Associate Director to join our communications team in Soho, London.

You will collaborate with talented colleagues across health communications, creative, digital, and medical education sectors. Our approach is creative, audience-focused, and aimed at achieving tangible outcomes. We foster an entrepreneurial culture that encourages innovative ideas for our clients.

The Associate Director is a pivotal role, requiring a strong leader and team player who can make strategic decisions and drive business growth. You will oversee various accounts and projects, earn client trust through innovation and creativity, and develop outstanding communication, marketing, and PR strategies.

This role is hybrid, requiring a mix of remote work and office presence in Soho.

Account and Team Responsibilities
  1. Manage all accounts effectively under your remit.
  2. Understand clients' strategic goals thoroughly.
  3. Provide insights into new therapy areas and target audiences confidently.
  4. Implement account activities flawlessly while directing team efforts.
  5. Maintain regular updates with management.
  6. Mentor and develop team members’ communication and client service skills.
  7. Inspire and lead your team and the wider consultancy team.
Financial Responsibilities
  1. Plan budgets effectively, understanding profitability and financial reporting.
  2. Ensure accounts are profitable and over-servicing is minimized.
  3. Oversee accurate invoicing, budget tracking, and reconciliation.
New Business Responsibilities
  1. Develop and present new business proposals confidently.
  2. Grow existing accounts through identifying opportunities for expansion.
  3. Identify new business opportunities in target areas.
  4. Mentor and coach team members to enhance their skills and experience.
Requirements
  1. Experience in healthcare communications within an agency setting.
  2. Ability to build strong relationships with senior clients.
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strategic thinking.
  4. Understanding of patient, HCP, KOL, and client needs.
  5. Experience managing creative processes from brief to evaluation.
  6. Proven experience in developing communication strategies and leading workshops.
  7. Experience with integrated campaigns at regional or global levels.
  8. Knowledge of Veeva, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or similar CRM platforms.
  9. Expertise in patient and HCP journey planning.
