Job description

F3 Architects is looking for a communications and marketing specialist to join its team in London.

F3 Architects, North London, three days per week, £24,000 per annum.

F3 Architects is a north London architectural practice working across sports and venues, hospitality, residential, and commercial sectors. We are recruiting for a newly created part-time role to support the practice's communications, brand presence, and digital output as the studio continues to grow.

Overview

The primary purpose of this role is to raise F3 Architects' profile across relevant industry channels, supporting business development and positioning the practice as a credible voice in our core sectors. The successful candidate will work directly with the directors to develop and execute a consistent communications strategy across social media, press, our website, and client-facing bid and presentation material.

Key accountabilities
General:
  • create, schedule, and manage social media content across LinkedIn and Instagram, and other relevant platforms, with a focus on project work, sector expertise, and studio culture
  • maintain and update the F3 Architects website, including project pages, news, team profiles, and sector content
  • produce engaging written content including project descriptions, sector commentary, and practice news
  • ensure consistent brand messaging and visual identity across all digital platforms and client-facing material
  • support award submissions, press releases, and targeted outreach to architecture and sector-specific publications
  • monitor engagement metrics and report on performance, identifying opportunities to improve reach and relevance
  • review and monitor the sector generally to ensure F3 remains well positioned.
Website:
  • make amendments to the practice website independently - updating content, layout, and imagery as required
  • experience with common CMS platforms (WordPress or equivalent); basic working knowledge of HTML/CSS an advantage
Bids and client presentations:
  • work with the directors and project teams to develop compelling bid and presentation strategies for new commissions
  • produce and refine pitch documents, capability statements, and presentation decks that communicate F3's expertise and project experience clearly and persuasively
  • maintain a library of up-to-date practice content - project sheets, CVs, photography, and copy - ready for deployment across bids and proposals
  • bring a consistent visual and narrative language to all client-facing output
Brand development:
  • research and understand F3's current brand, ethos, values, and develop a strategy for a new brand 'launch' of the business
  • support the ongoing development and refinement of the F3 Architects brand across all touchpoints
  • identify opportunities to raise the practice’s profile through editorial coverage, awards, events, and industry engagement
  • explore opportunities for partnerships and connections within the industry to promote the F3 brand
  • work with the directors to define and articulate F3's positioning, values, and areas of specialism in a way that resonates with target clients and sectors
Skills and attributes:
  • strong copywriting and content creation skills, with the ability to write confidently about architecture, design, and the built environment
  • good visual sensibility and ability to work with the team to curate project imagery, graphic content, and presentation layouts
  • experience contributing to or leading bid and pitch processes, ideally within a design or professional services context
  • organised, proactive, and able to manage output across multiple workstreams without close supervision
Qualifications and experience:
  • three or more years' experience in a communications, marketing, or PR role, ideally within the built environment, creative industries, or professional services
  • familiarity with architecture or design media and relevant sector publications
  • proficiency in content creation tools (Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent) and CMS platforms
  • experience with analytics tools (Google Analytics or similar)
  • experience producing bid or pitch material an advantage
