Job summary

Offshore Energies UK is seeking a Communications Adviser to join the Corporate Affairs team and support communications across our press office, media relations, digital channels, campaigns and events.

You will monitor the national news agenda, help respond to stories and communicate issues important to OEUK members and the offshore energy sector, building experience in a busy, fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Has practical communications experience and understanding of how press and media activity works.
• Writes clearly for different audiences and channels.
• Interest in UK daily news, politics and current affairs, with ability to spot engaging stories.

Responsibilities

• Support busy press office, responding to media enquiries and monitoring the news agenda.
• Create engaging content including press releases, statements, articles, speeches, briefings and digital content.
• Build relationships with journalists and help prepare OEUK spokespeople for media opportunities.
• Support campaigns, events and communications around key industry issues.
• Help manage communications across press, website and social media channels.
• Participate in the press office on-call rota for out-of-hours media enquiries.
