Job summary

Morgan Hunt is recruiting a Communication Support Worker to assist Deaf and hearing-impaired learners in East London’s Further Education settings. The role focuses on delivering BSL support during lessons and enabling access to learning materials.

The ideal candidate will have a BSL Level 3 or above, experience supporting learners, and a fully Enhanced DBS on the Update Service. The role may involve collaboration with lecturers and support teams to promote learner independence.

Qualifications

• BSL Level 3 qualification or above.
• Experience supporting Deaf and hearing-impaired learners.
• Experience working with young people in Further Education.
• Ability to support learners both in and outside of the classroom.
• A good understanding of safeguarding within education.
• Fully Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service.

Morgan Hunt is currently looking to speak with experienced Communication Support Workers to support Deaf and hearing-impaired learners within Further Education settings across East London.

We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates who hold a BSL Level 3 qualification or above and have experience supporting young people within an education setting.

The ideal candidate will have:

• BSL Level 3 or above

• Experience working as a Communication Support Worker or in a similar role

• Experience supporting Deaf and hearing-impaired learners

• Experience working with young people, ideally within Further Education

• The ability to support learners both in and outside of the classroom
